Ryan qualified as a physiotherapist in 2010 and has been a valued member of our practice ever since. He also works full-time within the NHS as an Advanced Practitioner Physiotherapist, a role he has held since 2019. He has previous MSK experience at NHS Lothian and NHS Lanarkshire from 2012-2015, and from 2015-2019 worked in Occupational Health. Previously, he served as the Lead Physiotherapist for Ayr United F.C. in the 2018/2019 season, gaining extensive experience in sports injury management and high-performance rehabilitation.

Ryan has a specialist interest in the assessment and treatment of low back pain and leads our Persistent Pain Service. He also provides a dedicated Second Opinion Service for complex cases. He is trained and experienced in administering joint and soft-tissue injections and is an Independent Prescriber, allowing him to offer comprehensive and timely patient care.

Outside of work, Ryan is an active sports enthusiast and has proudly represented Scotland in both tennis and volleyball.
