In some cases, conventional physiotherapy alone may not achieve the level of improvement a patient requires. When appropriate, we offer joint and soft-tissue injection therapy as an adjunct to treatment. A range of medical products can be used for this purpose; at Physiomac, we primarily utilise OSTENIL, a regulated and evidence-supported hyaluronic acid injection. Physiomac is an Ostenil approved clinic.
OSTENIL contains sodium hyaluronate, a substance naturally present within healthy joints. It acts as a concentrated lubricant and shock absorber, helping to improve joint mobility and reduce pain—particularly in individuals experiencing symptoms related to osteoarthritis.
Independent research supports the use of hyaluronate injections, with the strongest evidence for knee pain, though benefits have also been demonstrated in other joints. At Physiomac, we prefer OSTENIL PLUS for joint injections because it is delivered as a single treatment, rather than a course of injections over several weeks. Clinical effects may last up to six months.
For soft-tissue conditions, we offer OSTENIL TENDON, specifically formulated to support tendon and sheath-related injuries.
Our injection therapy is provided as a comprehensive package, which includes:
